“I never did this for money. Money was of no interest for me. I did it because I wanted to play in front of an audience”.
Jenny Karezi had characteristically stated about her husband: “I would love to have met Costas earlier. It would be better not to have left the years passed by. Nothing more. You see, I’ve been waited for Kazakos throughout my whole life, I had not found him, so I was just wandering around”.
JENNY THROUGH THE EYES OF IMPORTANT PERSONALITIES
“Having such a beauty in front of you and all that tenderness, you either suffer from how you feel to be overwhelmed or you do exactly the opposite, you remain silent, feeling charmingly heart-broken from such a light. This light is Jenny Karezi”.

“Theater is like Oxygen for Jenny. She adored theater. She was a very cultivated woman. She wrote beautifully, she played more than beautifully. She was such a dignified person. I will play in Yalinos Kosmos, she used to say to me, when I will be fine. She had always dreamt parts and always making plans…”

Jenny Karezi as I met her
“This book was not a biography for Jenny Karezi. I wrote it to honor her memory. The memory of Jenny with the exuberant talent, the unique beauty and the character of integrity. I am not talking about her life, I am not writing hymns on her career. I am restricted to the three years we lived together as a married couple, young people back then, carefree and without problems, happy, but beyond the joy of life all those years were so important for her successful career.
Unfortunately, people can be forgotten. In a few years, when the older movies will stop being played again and again, youngsters perhaps will not know who Jenny Karezi was. Therefore I wanted to write this book – I owed this to her for the carefree, beautiful years I lived with her”.
A tribute of honor to the unforgettable Jenny Karezi, along with unknown photos of their mutual life with Zahos Hatzifotiou.
